A dominating center defence with a powerful shot, Tara first represented Canada at the 2001 World Junior Championships in Perth, Australia where the team finished eighth. Not satisfied with that result, Tara tried again two years later and this time she help Canada earn the gold medal at the 2003 Junior World Championships in Calgary, Alberta.
Tara made her debut with the senior team at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, England and has been a fixture in the lineup since the World Championship bronze medal performance in Montreal in 2005.
After winning the Junior Worlds, Tara decided to focus more on school and played for CSU Long Beach in California. She earned her degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance.
When not in the pool, Tara’s favorite pastime is shopping.
