Canada wins the Bronze at Canada Cup

Canada wins the Bronze medal at the 2010 Canada Cup, beating Italy 16-9. Christine Robinson is named tournament "Most Valuable Defender". Great job ladies!

Canada loses the Semi-Final Game

Canada loses to China 10-9 in the last seconds of overtime. Canada will play Italy tomorrow in the Bronze medal game at 11am.

Rematch vs China

Canada has a re-match against China in the Semi-Final game this afternoon at 4:30pm. Let's go ladies!
Winner of this game will play in the Finals tomorrow at 12:30pm.

Canada loses to China 10-9. Krystina Alogbo was Canada's only star for the game. Canada plays Australia tomorrow night at 730pm.

The Canadian Women come out on top in their first game against Italy. The score was 13-11. Dominique Perreault and Christine Robinson were names Stars of the game. Great first game ladies!

Official Game #2

Canada beats Australia for a second time with a score of 10-8 in their second official game of the pre-Canada Cup training camp. Keep it up ladies!

The Canada Cup starts on Wednesday December 15th. Canada opens up against China at 7:30pm at the Olympic Pool in Montreal.

December Athlete of the Month: Marina Radu

Meet the December Athlete of the Month:

Marina Radu



Birth date: September 5, 1984
Height: 5’11
Hometown: Pointe-Claire
Current Residence: Montreal
Current Club: Dollard Water Polo Club
Education: Concordia University studying Human Relations.
Years on the National Team: 7







Marina got her start playing water polo at Cedar Park Pool in Pointe-Claire.  After joining the Dollard Water Polo Club, she quickly made her way up the chain to the Quebec Team and the Junior National Team.  After this natural progression, Marina has now been on the National Team for 7 years. Marina’s introduction to international water polo came in the form of a gold medal at the 2003 World Junior Championships held in Calgary, Alberta. Her contributions to that championship were quite impressive, finishing the tournament with 12 goals. Marina made her debut with the senior national team at the 2004 Olympic Qualification tournament where she helped Canada earn a spot at the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.  Marina is currently a student at Concordia University in Human Relations.  She hopes to one day have a career in broadcast journalism. But her first dream is to represent Canada at the 2012 Olympic Games and bring home a medal.
